Chris’ hotel food and beverage management began at Renaissance Scottsdale Resort in late 2005. The resort hosted a Mediterranean restaurant featuring a full entrée and 40-item tapas menu. Following his time in Arizona, Chris continued his career at the Ballantyne Hotel where food and beverage revenue grossed nearly 12 million dollars a year. After the economic turndown, the Ballantyne Resort re-branded and changed its name to the Ballantyne Hotel and focused its efforts on gaining back catering opportunities with large Charlotte corporations.
Later, Chris was an intricate part of the team that opened Gallery restaurant in 2007. He focused many of his efforts on the beverage program, leading him to become a level 2 sommelier and established a beverage arts program that incorporated molecular gastronomy. The Gallery wine list was a consistent winner with the Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence. His most recent endeavor was working at Michael’s Rock Hill Grille as the general manager where they were rated a top restaurant in Rock Hill SC on Trip Advisor for 5 of the 6 years.
